2. His original family surname is Stellmacher, which is a German occupational name for a Cartwright.
3. He interest in acting and theatre developed during his days in Samuel Whitbread Community College.
4. He is close friends with actor Matthew Goode. They both starred in the drama film, Brideshead Revisited (2008).
5. His role as Q in the 23rd film of the James Bond series, Skyfall (2012), made him the youngest actor, at the age of 32, to portray the character.
