Anouk Hoogendijk is a Dutch former professional soccer player, TV personality, journalist, model, and author, best known for playing for AFC Ajax Vrouwen as a defender and midfielder between 2012 and 2014, and then between 2014 and 2017, after she announced her retirement from professional soccer. She started her youth career playing for Dutch teams such as Combinatie Sportclub Wilnis, SV Argon, and Legmeervogels and played for the Dutch club SV Saestum between 2004 and 2007. At the age of 12, Anouk appeared in the local TV program titled Geef Nooit Op (Never Give Up), and expressed her wish to train with FC Utrecht. Luckily for her, the club was forming a female team, and she began her career with the team in 2007. Anouk spent 4 successful years with them and she transferred to the Bristol City W.F.C. in 2011 for the inaugural FA WSL campaign. She came back to FC Utrecht temporarily in 2012, after which she played for Ajax. In-between playing for Ajax, in January 2014, she was signed to the English FC Arsenal Ladies, but because of persistent injuries only played 3 matches and returned to Ajax in the season 2014-2015.
Anouk was also a long-time soccer player for the Netherlands national team, from 2004 up until she announced her retirement in 2017, and scored 9 goals in 103 appearances between 2004 and 2015. She is also the co-author of a book titled that she wrote with the help of Vicente de Vries, and published in April 2015. The book contained her own biography, as well as advice, tips, and tricks for all of the young and upcoming soccer players. Anouk has also done photoshoots and has been featured in Dutch magazines such as Helden, De Telegraaf, AD, Vriendin, De Volkskrant, as well as the ELLE magazine. Anouk Hoogendijk made her international debut as a half-time substitute for her national team of the Netherlands in a match against Japan on August 6, 2004, on the Sportpark Noordweg stadium in Zeist, Utrecht, Netherlands. The match ended with a 2–0 defeat for her team.

Personal Trainer
During her professional career, she worked out for at least 5 times a week as part of her , , and agility regime as part of the clubs she was in. She ate healthily, which meant a lot of and , and drank plenty of during and outside of the training and matches. Anouk admitted that eating a lot of and -packed complex was a must before a match. After she retired from professional soccer, Anouk still kept with her typical workout schedule and diet plan. Anouk has posted numerous pictures of her near the large bodies of water in her home country, and she also loves paddleboarding. After she noticed a dip in health, Anouk also tried to challenge herself and walk the distance of a half-marathon of about 21 kilometers at once. She succeeded in that endeavor in September 2018 and reported feeling tired but rejuvenated.
