DennisASMR is an American YouTuber and an ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) artist who uploads videos where he adopts multiple personas and uses varied relaxation techniques to help his viewers calm down and fight insomnia. Dennis was an ASMR fan himself and was motivated to try it out, so he started his channel in August 2017. He rose to prominence with a July 2018 video titled Jealous Boyfriend Roleplay which has amassed more than 2 million views. The popularity of the video prompted him to ideate and execute other boyfriend personas such as overprotective, caring, angry, etc. Dennis has gained popularity steadily, both through his boyish charms and the rising acceptance of ASMR and has more than 600k subscribers on his channel.

DennisASMR Facts

1. Apart from his ASMR skills, Dennis is also a singer, musician, and a painter. He regularly works on covering songs and speed-painting videos and uploads them on his secondary YouTube channel named Dennis&Skunky.
2. Dennis was inspired to make ASMR videos after following YouTubers like , RaffyTaphyASMR and anoASMR. He too was afflicted with sleep deprivation and was helped immensely by watching videos from these artists. His experiences motivated him to help others as well.
3. As a child, Dennis used to appear on his older brother’s channel named Toothpast3, from as early as 2011. His brother eventually left the channel but Dennis decided to revive the channel with his friend Christopher.
4. His first YouTube channel was named Dr. Soprano and was started in 2015. He renamed it to Owen Riley and then to ItzOwenRiley. He started doing product reviews and DIY videos on this channel in March 2017. DennisASMR expanded the channel by covering popular songs but failed to monetize the channel properly after YouTube changed its policies.
5. As his channel stagnated, he shifted his focus towards ASMR and started a new channel that has massively outgrown his original channel. He has retained his first channel though, albeit with a new name. It is named Dennis&Skunky and has more than 20k subscribers. He regularly uploads on the older channel and even posted an original song titled Doorstep in December 2017.
