1. She played basketball back in college.
2. In early 2014, Jax was signed to WWE and was assigned first to the company’s developmental territory NXT.
3. On May 7, 2015, she made her NXT in-ring debut at NXT house show using the ring name Zada, during which she was defeated alongside partner Devin Taylor by and in a tag team match. In August 2015, she started using the ring name, Nia Jax.
4. On October 14, 2015, she made her debut in an episode of NXT where she defeated Evie in a singles match. Following her debut, Jax slowly transitioned into a villainous character while going on multiple winning streaks, beating numerous enhancement talents and NXT Diva Carmella.
5. She went on a month hiatus due to a storyline injury with a win against . She made her comeback to the ring on January 27, 2016.
6. On May 25, 2016, in another episode of NXT, she won a triple threat match against and Carmella, making her the number one contender to ‘s NXT Women’s Championship.
