Shannon Leto Facts

1. Shannon’s parents had divorced when he was very young and he was raised by his mother and maternal grandparents, thereafter. His father had remarried after the divorce and had committed suicide when Shannon was 10 years old. He then took his adoptive father’s surname, Leto, as his last name.
2. His mother had joined the ‘hippie movement’ after this and she would often encourage both her sons to pursue different arts. Shannon had received a drum kit for the first time when he was 10 years old and he taught himself how to play the instrument.
3. Before becoming a full-time musician, he used to work in the construction industry in Los Angeles.
4. Shannon and his band, Thirty Seconds to Mars, had embarked on a global tour titled Into the Wild, in February 2010. By December 2011, they had been recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records for their feat of performing in more than 300 shows during a single album cycle.
5. In 2014, he had launched a lifestyle brand known as Black Fuel Trading Company which was predominantly working in the marketing and distribution of direct-trade coffee.
