One of the most important days in Krishna and Indira’s life as they welcomed their second son into their lives was 9^th of August in 1975. They decided to name their son Ghattamaneni Mahesh Babu but is now famously known as Mahesh Babu. Mahesh has four siblings; a brother named Ramesh Babu and three sisters named Manjula, Padmavathi and Priyadarshini. They two tied the knot on the 10^th of February in 2005 in a ceremony that was held at the Marriott Hotel in Mumbai. They did this as they were shooting Athadu.

In 2006, one year after their marriage, the couple welcomed their first child at the Global Hospital in Hyderabad. They named the child Gautham Krishna after his grandfather. The boy was born prematurely and was in critical condition, but thanks to the doctors’ hard work, the child stabilized. 6 years later, in 2012, they welcomed their second child, a daughter whom they named Sitara. They used stem cell banking to preserve her stem cells before she was born to ensure she was born with a better immunity level.
