They continued to make profits for the following years by the process of buying properties at cheap prices, renovating them, and selling them later at higher prices.  After getting his contractor license, he sold properties for more than a decade.

He then founded the Scott Real Estate Inc. with his brother Drew. He eventually opened two more branches of their real estate business. Both he and Drew have starred in the popular TV series, “Property Brothers” which shows their life centered on buying and selling of properties.

The series was massively successful, to say the least, and has led to spin-off shows such as “Buying and Selling”, “Brother Vs. Brother”, and “Property Brothers: At Home”. Jonathan along with his brothers, Drew and JD is the owner of the entertainment production company, Scott Brothers Global. The production group is behind successful shows such as “Buying and Selling” and “Brother vs. Brother”.

The twins also have the furniture line, Scott Living to their name. The twins’ first book, “Dream Home” was released in April 2016 and went on to capture the 9^th position of The New York Times Best Seller List in the category of advice/how-to books.
