Alice Kinsella Facts

  1. In March 2017, she made her senior debut at the 2017 Stuttgart World Cup where she finished at 7th place. She went on to compile more competitions to be added in her records including the 2017 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, where she finished 10th in the all-around and the 2017 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, during which she was picked to represent Great Britain and competed in the all-around where she placed 24th in the overall, qualifying her to the all-around final score of 51.365.
  2. On October 6, 2017, British Gymnastics announced that she had withdrawn from the competition due to a minor ankle injury during the qualifications.
  3. Following her competition at the English Championships where she placed 7th in the all-around dated February 10, 2018, she was later named to the English team for the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia.
  4. In March 2018, she competed at the British Championships in the all-around where she finished 5th in the beam final where she won a silver medal and in the floor final where she finished 5th with a score of 13.000. Around the same time, Kinsella was chosen to compete at the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup as a replacement to teammate . There, she won the bronze medal after obtaining a score of 53.099 behind Russia’s Angelina Melnikova and America’s Margzetta Frazier.
  5. On September 27, 2018, she was named to the team to compete at the World Championships held in Doha, Qatar alongside Becky Downie, Ellie Downie, Georgia-Mae Fenton, and Kelly Simm. At the time, Great Britain finished at 9th place in qualifications and became the first reserve for team finals.
  6. In 2019, she competed at the English Championships and finished 3rd in the all-around next to Amelie Morgan and Simm. At the British Championships, she finished 4th in the all-around, 2nd on uneven bars, 4th on balance beam, and 5th on floor exercise. Having played at the European Championships, she qualified for the all-around finals and finished 3rd behind Melnikova and Mélanie de Jesus dos Santos. She placed 3rd in the balance beam final, 7th in the floor exercise, and 15th in the all-around final. Upon reaching the event finals, Kinsella won gold on the balance beam and made history as the first British gymnast to become a European champion on the apparatus.
  7. In late September 2019, she was named to the team to compete at the 2019 World Championships in Stuttgart with Ellie Downie, Becky Downie, Taeja James, and Georgia-Mae Fenton. During qualifications, she helped Great Britain finished at 7th and earned a spot in the team final, advancing them to the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan. In the team final, she contributed scores on vault, balance beam, and floor exercise, helping Great Britain to finish at 6th place. As an independent player, she also qualified for the all-around final where she finished in 12th place.
