Professional Career

In 1989, the Indianapolis Colts selected Rison in the first round of the NFL draft (he was the 22nd overall pick). He caught 52 passes for 820 yards and four touchdowns in his rookie NFL season with the Indianapolis Colts. He was traded to the Atlanta Falcons after only a year with the Indianapolis Colts. He would play for the Falcons for five seasons, and he would be very effective during that period. With 15 receiving touchdowns in 1993, he ranked first among all NFL teams.
