Her performance in the competition’s audition round, where she had sung Billie Holiday’s version of Gloomy Sunday that was composed by Hungarian pianist and composer Rezső Seress in 1933, had gone viral and received global press coverage. She has gone on to release several digital singles, a studio album titled It’s Magic (2018) and EPs titled My Christmas (2014) and Angelina Jordan – The EP (2017). 1. Angelina, at a very young age, had performed at quite a few major international events. In 2014, she had performed at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo, to honor the year’s Peace Prize recipients and Kailash Satyarthi.
2. She had performed the song Fly Me to the Moon, in June 2018, at The O2 Arena in London, as part of American record producer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, composer, and arranger, ‘s 85th birthday celebrations.
3. When she had performed British rock band Queen‘s iconic 1975 song Bohemian Rhapsody in the preliminary round of America’s Got Talent: The Champions (2020), she had not just earned a ‘golden buzzer’ from judge but also garnered praise from Queen‘s official Twitter account.
4. While touring Asia, in 2012, she had met a poor orphaned girl who had no money to buy shoes. Angelina had befriended her, talked to her about her dreams in life, and given her shoes. The girl had then prayed for Angelina’s success.
5. Moved by the experience, Angelina had decided to always perform barefoot thereafter. She had also written a book titled Mellom to Hjerter (Between Two Hearts), based on the incident, becoming the youngest published author in Norway. The book was illustrated by her maternal grandmother, Iranian artist Mery Zamani.
