Chloe Kim Height, Weight, Age, Body Statistics

Chloe Kim is a first-generation American Korean snowboarder born to South Korean parents who moved to the United States in the 1990s. Her love for the sport manifested when her father took her along for company, wanting to learn the winter sport himself. He made Chloe practice snowboarding with either foot forward. Being ambipedal or two-footed eventually began to set Chloe apart from other athletes as she grew older. Since 2014, the talented athlete has pushed the boundaries of her sport by executing complex aerial maneuvers in X Games, U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix, and Winter Olympics.

Personal Trainer

  • As a member of the U.S. Snowboarding team since 2013, Chloe started competing in ESPN’s Winter X Games in 2014 when she was just 13 years old.
  • The snowboarder is not a morning person. She gets up by 7 am and starts her day at a slow pace to prepare herself mentally for the grueling training schedule.
  • To maintain her best physical and mental condition for the competition, the athlete has made some alterations to her eating and training habits owing to the recommendations made by her nutritionist and strength coach but she usually likes to defy the popular norms for healthy eating and training.
  • Since her daily calorie intake is very high, between 2200 and 3200 calories, Chloe can easily get away with eating a lot of junk food and processed snacks.
  • The snowboarder does not like warming up before her practice sessions either.
  • She used to start her day with a big breakfast that consisted of pancakes, some biscuits, and gravy, toast, cottage cheese, or Cinnamon toast crunch cereal until she found out that a substantial morning meal would slow her down in her daily 3 hour morning practice.
  • Hence, Chloe switched to a big dinner and a small breakfast such as a smoothie with spinach, Greek yogurt, honey, strawberries, and blueberries.
  • After a second post-lunch snowboarding session, Chloe sits through a video review of her progress with her coach and hits the gym in the evening.
  • Her shortest workout lasts an hour while a more extensive session might take 2 hours.
  • In 2015, Chloe hurt her right knee and went for rehabilitation in the Center of Excellence, Park City, Utah. Ever since the incident, she has started training regularly at the gym with a focus on strengthening her legs.
  • For the upper body, the snowboarder sticks to fundamental movements such as pull-ups, push-ups, and dips. However, for core and legs, she performs a more extensive range of exercises using TRX, medicine balls, and body weight.
  • Chloe also likes to run for 20-30 minutes on the treadmill and takes to the spin bike /stationary cycle the day she experiences fatigue after a challenging snowboarding practice.
  • She used to sleep for 10 hours but has reduced it to 8.
  • Although she has a sweet tooth, after 2016, the snowboarder eats a lot less candy and consciously opts for less calorie-dense choices particularly at Starbucks that helped her successfully lose some fat and gain muscle ahead of the Winter Olympics 2018.
