Floor Jansen Facts

1. Growing up, Jansen wanted to be a biologist.
2. She was 15 years old when she discovered her passion for making music after being featured in a school musical.
3. She is a vegetarian.
4. Prior to Jansen becoming a full-time musician, she worked as a singing tutor.
5. In 2018, Jansen had a new species of beetle named after her that was dubbed Tmesisternus floorjansenae. This made her the 2nd member of the band Nightwish to have a newly discovered species named after them.
