George Strait is an American singer, songwriter, actor, and music producer who is widely renowned as one of the greatest and most popular recording artists of all time. He is also credited with bringing country music away from the pop-country era of the 1980s and back to its traditional roots. He was inducted into the ‘Country Music Hall of Fame’ in 2006 and was named the ‘Top Country Artist of the Past 25 Years’, in 2010, by Billboard.com.
