Along with the band, he has released several superhit songs which include Quit Playing Games With My Heart, Everybody (Backstreet’s Back), As Long as You Love Me, I Want It That Way, and Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely.

- Howie has been a music maniac ever since he was 3 and would jump on his grandparents’ bed while singing the song, Babyface, with his toy guitar.
- At the age of 6 or 7, he used to sing in the mass in the church choir and got cast for his first role in the musical adaptation of The Wizard of Oz as a singer and actor.
- His mother, impressed by his talents, enrolled him in children’s community theater and admitted him in the performing arts academy to take singing and acting lessons followed by dance lessons in classical ballet, tap, and jazz.
- Besides performing in the school choir and talent shows, he also appeared in several school productions including a school TV show called Macho & Camacho.
