Jemeker Thompson was raised by a single mother who had five other children to tend to in the family. Growing up without a father was rough, and Jemeker encountered harsh life conditions while still a child.
At the age of eight, their family was evicted from their apartment in South Los Angeles, and their belongings were thrown outside. The eviction was a life-changing moment. Thompson promised herself that she would never go through the same experience in her life.
