In both of those years (sophomore, junior), she had also earned the Washington Post’s ‘All-Metro’ honors.
  2. In her senior year, at the Riverdale Baptist School, she had led her school to a national championship game. In her very first game for the Maryland Terrapins, in her freshman year at the University of Maryland, College Park, she had recorded a ‘double-double’ (a single-game performance where a player scores points in double-digits in 2 of the 5 key statistical categories – points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocked shots). She was eventually named in the ‘Big Ten All-Freshman Team’.
