Before she got into the limelight of fame as Lacey with a fierce personality inside the wrestling ring, she had first served as a military officer in the U.S Marines where she encountered her first few training after she was introduced to wrestling through a staff sergeant who invited her to a show and later booked her to wrestle him at the main event. She was drafted to Raw as part of the 2019 WWE Superstar Shake-Up and was assigned in her first feud on the main roster after continuously attacking SmackDown Women’s Champion, Becky Lynch. On May 19, 2019, a rematch took place but Evans lost via submission.
