Nick Cassidy is a New Zealander professional racing driver who is best known for his exceptional performances in the New Zealand-based Toyota Racing Series and the Japan-based Super GT Series. He had started competing in the former in 2011 and had finished 2nd, winning the ‘Rookie of the Year’ award. He went on to win the title in both 2012 and 2013. He then won the V8SuperTourers Endurance Championship in 2012 and the Japanese Formula 3 Championship in 2015. He had also stood 3rd at the 2014 Macau Grand Prix standalone event. Nick had joined the Super GT Series in 2015 and had finished 5th in 2016, 1st in 2017, 2nd in 2018, and 2nd in 2019. Also, he won the Japanese Super Formula Championship in 2019 after having finished as a runner-up in 2018. With his name getting seriously linked up with a seat in the premier Formula One World Championship for the 2020 season, he was instead signed up as a test driver by Envision Virgin Racing for the all-electric FIA Formula E Championship for the 2019-20 season.

- While competing in the Toyota Racing Series, he had won the competition’s signature event, the New Zealand International Grand Prix, for 3 years in succession (2012-2014). He became just the 5th driver after Jack Brabham, Stirling Moss, Craig Baird, and Ken Smith to win the event thrice, and only the 3rd New Zealander to do so. As of June 2020, no driver had won the race 4 times. He also became just the 2nd driver after Craig Baird (1991, 1992, 1993) to win it thrice in a row.
- Before joining the Toyota Racing Series in 2011, he had competed in numerous formula/karting/midget series in Australia and New Zealand and had won the Formula First Manfeild Winter Series in 2008 and the Western Springs Speedway – F2 Midgets championship in the 2009-10 season. In the latter event, he was so dominant that he had won 7 out of the 8 races held in the season.
