Nikola Jokić is a Serbian professional basketball player who primarily plays in the powerful ‘center’ position and has represented the Denver Nuggets in the NBA (National Basketball Association). He was named in the NBA All-Rookie First Team in 2016; and for leading the Nuggets to the conference semifinals in the 2018–19 season, he was named in the NBA All-Star Team and the All-NBA First Team. He was named in the NBA All-Star Team in the following season as well. With the Serbian National team, he won the Silver medal at the 2013 Under-19 World Championship and the Silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. Nikola was named the ‘Serbian Player of the Year’ by the Basketball Federation of Serbia in 2018.

- Nikola was named, in March 2015, the regular season MVP (Most Valuable Player) of the annual ABA League, a competition where 14 teams from Serbia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Macedonia, and Hungary participated.
- In the 2016–17 NBA season, he recorded 6 triple-doubles (a performance where a player achieves a double-digit number in 3 of the 5 performance categories—points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocked shots) which was the 4th highest in the season.
