1. He made his first film appearance by playing the role of Venkat in the 2002 Telugu-language romantic action drama film, Jayam, in which he co-starred alongside and Gopichand. For this role, he won the Filmfare Award for “Best Male Debut – South”.
2. In 2012, Nithiin played the role of Rahul, a very jovial and friendly guy who likes to have fun and play practical jokes, in the romantic drama film, Ishq, directed by Vikram Kumar. This performance got him nominated for the Filmfare Award in the “Best Actor – Telugu” category.
3. He appeared as Karthik, a carefree guy, in the 2013 Telugu romantic comedy film, Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde, and was again nominated for the Filmfare Award in the “Best Actor – Telugu” category.
4. In a few of his initial projects, Nithiin’s voice was dubbed by actor Sivaji.
