1. Savage was raised as a Roman Catholic.
2. In the past, Randy lived in Zanesville, Ohio. Later, he relocated to Staten Island, New York, and then moved to Lexington, Kentucky.
3. Right after Randy graduated from high school, he signed with the St. Louis Cardinals as a catcher. He was only 18 years old when he started his major league baseball career.
4. During his baseball career, Randy learned to pitch with both of his arms as he had injured his right shoulder during a match, hence learning to throw with his left arm.
