1. His English name is ‘Matthew Shin’.
2. Shindong got inclined towards dancing at an early age and eventually won the 2002 Goyangsi Youth Dance contest.
3. With Super Junior, he released his debut studio album, Twins, on December 5, 2005, and it included songs like Twins (Knock Out), Miracle, You are the one, Over, and Keep in Touch. Also, the album was ranked at number #3 in both Gaon Music Chart as well as MIAK K-pop Monthly Chart and was placed at number #16 in the G-Music Weekly J-POP Chart.
4. He was in a major car accident that took place on April 19, 2007, while he was returning home after a recording of the radio show Super Junior Kiss the Radio along with Leeteuk, Kyuhyun, Eunhyuk, and two managers.
