After the group took a hiatus in 2000, he had embarked on a successful solo career in which he had released the studio albums Momentum (2001), Welcome to Diverse City (2004), Portable Sounds (2007), Tonight (2010), Eye on It (2012), This Is Not a Test (2015), and The Elements (2018). Over the course of his career, he has sold more than 10 million albums and recorded more than 20 tracks that have peaked in the ‘Top 10’ of the Billboard Christian Songs list. Between DC Talk and his solo career, as of October 2020, he had also won 7 Grammy Awards and numerous GMA Dove Awards.
