Tom Green is a Canadian stand-up comedian who is often credited for paving the way for modern-day prank comedy. Since 1999, he has appeared in various US sketch comedy shows, reality shows, and talk shows. He is also known for his film appearances in Road Trip (2000), Charlie’s Angels (2000), Stealing Harvard (2002), Shred (2008) and directorial debut Freddy Got Fingered (2001). Starring in the lead role of Gordon Brody in the black comedy that he directed and co-wrote called Freddy Got Fingered (2001). Although the film was brutally criticized by most critics upon release and won 5 Golden Raspberry Awards including “Worst Actor”, “Director”, and “Screenplay”, it eventually became a financial success through DVD rentals and sales.

1. His maternal and paternal grandfathers served in the Canadian Army overseas during World War II in France, Belgium, Holland, England, Germany, and Italy.
2. Tom’s father also served in the Canadian Army and supervised the ceasefire in Vietnam in 1973.
