- His television career began as a political analyst working for CNN and The Blaze.
- In 2014, Will produced a documentary mini-series Alise vs. the Mayor that exposed New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s attempts to curb charter schools.
- At The Blaze, he hosted shows like Real News, Cain and Cupp, and The Cain Conversation (2015) that included hour-long in-depth conversations with industry leaders such as Gary Vaynerchuck – Business, Geraldo Rivera – News, Paul Sorvino – Film, Markey Ramone and Charlie Daniels – Music.
- Realizing he did not have a passion for practicing law, Will moved to a ranch in Montana to work as a farmhand while attempting to write a book (that he was unable to complete).
- He moved back to his hometown to look after his younger siblings after his father’s demise in 2001 where he managed to purchase 2 local community newspapers. After expanding his media business to include several other papers, he sold his company to Stephens Media.
- From 2006 to 2009, Cain found and developed Quince Media, a company that ran a magazine, website, and expos about Quinceañeras.
- Since he was always interested in the exchange of ideas through debate, Will produced a pilot program in which he moderated a panel of two conservatives and two liberals addressing political issues. This program helped him get the attention of the National Review, Fox News, and CNN.
