Alyssa Naeher Facts

1. She scored over 2000 points while playing basketball in high school.
2. In 2019, Alyssa was invited to throw out the first pitch at Fenway Park during a Boston Red Sox game.
3. In September 2015, she appeared in the video game FIFA 16, which also marked the first time women players were featured in the online game.
4. She saved a crucial goal from England’s Steph Houghton during the 83rd minute of their semifinal match against England in the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Thus, contributing to her national team’s 2-1 victory.
5. In October 2015, Alyssa and her national team members were honored by former President at the White House.
6. After their win at the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup, Naeher (who did not play any matches) and her teammates were welcomed with a Ticker tape parade in New York City. It marked the first time a women’s sports team was felicitated in such a way.
