Andre Agassi is an American retired professional tennis player who is widely regarded as one of the greatest exponents of the sport. He had won 8 Grand Slam titles – Wimbledon (1992), US Open (1994, 1999), Australian Open (1995, 2000, 2001, 2003), and French Open (1999) – and had finished as a finalist 7 times. He had won the singles ‘Gold’ medal at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, the 1990 ATP Tour Finals, and 3 Davis Cup titles (1990, 1992, 1995). Andre also won an astounding 17 ATP Masters Series titles. He retired from the sport abruptly in 2006, with a 76% singles win record, after dealing with chronic back trouble. Post-retirement, he has been involved in multiple media engagements, business ventures, and has founded the Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation which has worked extensively for at-risk children in his home state of Nevada. His critically acclaimed autobiography titled Open was published in 2009. He was inducted into the ‘International Tennis Hall of Fame’ in 2011. He has also tried his hand at coaching, engaging with top-notch players like (2017–2018) and (2018–Present).
