Hence, losing control, Ayrton failed to make the turn and instead crashed into a concrete barrier after dropping his speed to a speed of 145 mph. The impact was so devastating that he sustained fatal injuries to his head, which eventually took his life while in hospital at 14:17 pm (According to Italian law).
