Aziz Ansari is an American actor, comedian, writer, producer, and director, best known for his role of Tom Haverford on NBC’s TV series Parks and Recreation that ran from 2009 to 2015. He was also known for being a creator of Master of None series that started airing in 2015 on Netflix, for which he was awarded 2 Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe award in the category “Best Actor – Television Series Musical or Comedy”. The latter achievement made him the first Indian-American or Asian-American actor that won a Golden Globe award for acting in television.
