Diamond DeShields studied at Norcross High School in Norcross, Georgia and played for the school’s basketball team, where she was a part of 3 state champions and averaged 26 points per game in her senior year. She then attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and played guard for the North Carolina Tar Heels women’s basketball team.
Afterward, she transferred to the University of Tennessee and had to sit out for the following season. However, she then played for the Tennessee Lady Volunteers basketball team for 2 years.
