Elsie Fisher Facts

1. She got discovered for the first time when she was just 4 years old. Her father revealed that she had come to a jazz club where he worked and started acting on stage which a regular guest saw and approached him.
2. She coincidently finished her 8th grade in school weeks before she started filming the movie, Eighth Grade. Elsie also faced some tough situations in her 8th grade just like the character she played in the film and got a bit bullied by others.
3. The original script of the Eighth Grade showed actors using Facebook for messaging but she asked director to change it to Instagram as she thought nobody uses Facebook anymore.
4. After receiving her Golden Globes nomination for “Best Actress in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy” for her performance in Eighth Grade, she went out for a doughnut party.
5. She gave her voice for the character of Agnes in the Despicable Me 1 and 2 and she was only 5 years old during the first one. She revealed in an interview that she could not read at that time so she just repeated the lines she was said to speak.
6. Elsie prefers french fries to chicken nuggets.
7. She loves to play Dungeons and Dragons so much that she even has a podcast called Xtreme D&D which she runs along with her friends.
