Felicity Huffman is an American actress, director, producer, and author, best known for the role of Lynette Scavo on the ABC TV series Desperate Housewives for 8 seasons from 2004 to 2012, alongside and . For that role, she received multiple nominations for the Golden Globe Award and won a Primetime Emmy Award for “Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role” in 2005. They met at the Atlantic Theatre Company in New York, where William was a drama teacher.
