Glenn Beck is an American radio talk-show host, TV host, entrepreneur, artist, actor, screenwriter, TV producer, political commentator, and author, best known for his Glenn Beck Radio Program, syndicated by Premiere Radio Networks, as well as his TV program titled Glenn Beck. His TV program went through a lot of changes, mainly regarding the networks that hosted it. It ran on HLN from January 2006 to October 2008, and then he transferred it to Fox News Channel on January 2009 where it ran until June 30, 2011. The reason for the split with Fox was because Glenn had other entrepreneurial goals, and stopped focusing entirely on it. This led him to transfer the TV show to the subscription-based Internet TV network he founded, initially titled GBTV, and then TheBlaze TV, and present it in a 2-hour format. Some estimations showed that he made more than $27 million in the 1st year of operations after the premiere of the 1st episode on September 12, 2011. On the exact date that the 1st episode premiered, only a year later, Glenn announced that TheBlaze TV would be carried by the Dish Network, and thus become available via more than 90 TV providers.

He had his early career start on the radio as a DJ and a comedian, 1st on the KZFM radio station in 1983. In 1985, Glenn moved to WRKA station to host a show called Beck and the A-Team, but had a dispute with them and left in 1987. Between 1992 and 1999, he hosted a show on the WKCI-FM radio station in New Haven, Connecticut. After his contract expired and wouldn’t be renewed in 1999, he started his own radio show, The Glenn Beck Program in early 2000, which 1st aired on the WFLA (AM) radio station in Tampa, Florida. In early 2002, he created the media platform Mercury Radio Arts to help unite all of his broadcasting and publishing endeavors. The same year, his radio show’s popularity skyrocketed after it was launched by Premiere Radio Networks on 47 stations. By May 2008, his radio show was broadcast over 280 terrestrial stations and even an XM Satellite. In July 2013, his show was tied for the 4th place based on ratings. He is also an accomplished author, and has written more than 25 books between 2003 and 2016, and reached number 1 in 4 different categories on The New York Times Bestseller List by 2010.
