1. She was brought up in Forster, New South Wales.
2. River discovered her passion for writing and recording at a very early age. Also, she was about 5 or 6 years old when she started writing.
3. Jack lost her younger sister Shannon in 2006 after she got caught in a faulty drain while in a spa and died. She was only 11 years old at the time.
4. She had started her musical career under the stage name Rankin. However, she changed it to Jack River after moving to Sydney.
5. Jack released her first piece of work on April 5, 2013, which was an EP titled On Nature Part One. It was compiled with a total of 8 tracks. Other than that, she has released several other EPs including the hit Highway Songs No. 2 (2016) and Stranger Heart (2020).
6. In the year 2016, River signed up with I Oh You/Universal Music Australia.
7. On June 22, 2018, Jack released her debut studio album titled Sugar Mountain. It consisted of a total of 13 tracks that were Her Smile, Ballroom, Confess, Limo Song, Fool’s Gold, Mars (Reuben Rankin), So High, Stardust & Rust, Saturn (Reuben Rankin), Fault Line, Fields, Constellation Ball, In Infinity. Also, the deluxe version of the album included 4 tracks that are Adolescent, Sugar Mountain, Fool’s Gold (acoustic), and Fault Line (Gear 1 Version).
