2. She started acting at the age of 16 and was first discovered by celebrated TV writer and producer, Norman Lear, through a nationwide talent search.
3. She became passionate about acting after getting cast as Dorothy Gale in her school production of The Wizard of Oz.

Despite that, Jami stated that she never lost a job due to her religious convictions. In fact, it helped her visit synagogues all over the world.
