1. Jordan began his youth career with the English club West Ham United in 2004 and continued with the team at the youth level until 2007. He was promoted to the senior team in 2007 and was with the club till 2014.
2. Despite spending more than half a decade with West Ham United, he made only 7 appearances for the club. He spent the majority of his time ‘on loan’ to other English clubs such as Leyton Orient, Scunthorpe United, Bristol City, Sheffield Wednesday, and Milton Keynes Dons until he was eventually signed by the last of those clubs in 2014.
3. He captained the England Under-16 squad to the Victory Shield in November 2005.
4. He also captained England at the 2007 FIFA Under-17 World Cup where the team reached the quarter-final stage. This was the first occasion that England had reached the World Finals at the Under-17 level.
5. During the group stage of the tournament, England defeated Brazil by 2 goals to 1 with Jordan scoring the winning goal in injury time. This was the first time that England had ever defeated Brazil at any FIFA tournament.
6. Under Jordan’s captaincy, England’s Under-18 team ended the 2007–08 season undefeated. He also led the England Under-19 team at the 2009 UEFA Under-19 Championships where the team finished as runners-up.
