She was brought up in London, England, and is the only daughter amongst 5 children.
Her father Brooks is a well-known businessman, philanthropist, and former politician. Whereas her mother Lucy is a musician.
Lily was 14 years old when she developed an interest in the performing arts. At the time, Lily had been working as a costume designer at the National Youth Theatre.
In the past, Lily spent 2 years at the Albany Theatre Company in Deptford before rejoining the National Youth Theatre, only this time as an actress.
