1. She was brought up as a roman catholic in Kerala and is the only child of her parents.
2. Growing up, she saw tough times as her parents had decided to part ways and she was taken care of by her mother Aleyamma.
3. She did both her schooling and also completed her college from Christian institutions.
4. Lissy was an A grader and also attained applaudable results during her exams for the secondary school leaving certificate.
5. She was preparing for her pre-university when she began acting at the age of 16.
6. Lissy made her debut theatrical film appearance as Latha alongside various stars like Balachandra Menon and Poornima Jayaram in the film Ithiri Neram Othiri Karyam in 1982.
