1. His paternal great grandfather was also named Ndamukong Suh and had stood 7 ft 3 inches tall. The name Ndamukong means ‘House of Spears’ in Ngemba, a Cameroonian language.
2. Before joining the NFL, he was one of the most decorated players in college football history. In his senior year (2009), he had won the Outland Trophy, the Lombardi Award, the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, the Chuck Bednarik Award, and the Associated Press College Football Player of the Year Award.
