1. He was raised in Rajasthan alongside his cousin’s cricketer Deepak and actress and model Malti Chahar.
2. Rahul and Deepak have an age difference of 7 years between them.
3. He started his cricket training at the age of 8 at his uncle’s academy in Agra.
4. Initially, Rahul wanted to be a fast bowler. However, after having seen him struggle, Lokendra advised him to try bowling leg-spin and stuck with it.
5. He was not very strong academically and only wanted to play cricket.
6. Rahul and his cousin grew up on a very strict routine, they would practice from 8 in the morning till midnight with only a 2 to 3-hour lunch or break time in between.
