  1. In 2010, he was honored with a Padma Shri award, which is the fourth highest civilian award given by the Indian government.
  2. In February 2007, he was admitted to the hospital in Mumbai after he complained of chest pain. It was revealed that he had an irregular heartbeat and had also suffered a mild heart attack, which was caused by his very hectic work schedule.
