1. He was raised alongside his older brothers Ben and Tom Curran in Northampton, England.
2. Tom Curran was the only one to be born in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa.
3. Sam was raised in a family of passionate cricketers. His father Kevin played internationally for Zimbabwe and his grandfather Kevin Patrick Curran played for Rhodesia.
4. Sam resided on a farm with his family in Rusape, Zimbabwe until it was seized by the government in 2004.
