Sam Mewis is an American professional soccer player who has played for the club Western New York Flash and its rebranded franchise North Carolina Courage in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). She has been featured in several campaigns for the women’s national soccer team where she is renowned for her impactful playmaking skills as a midfielder. She won the NWSL Championship with the Western New York Flash in 2016 and with the North Carolina Courage in 2018 and 2019. Sam scored the winning goal at the 2016 SheBelieves Cup for the United States and was an integral member of the national squad that triumphed at the 2018 Tournament of Nations and the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

- For her performances in the 2017 NWSL season, she was named in the ‘NWSL Best XI’ and was a part of the final shortlist for the NWSL ‘Most Valuable Player’ (MVP) award.
