Slayyyter Facts

1. Slayyyter’s music career started to bloom when she was a student at the University of Missouri. She had experimented by writing what she termed ’80s lo-fi pop’ which she then edited and produced on her own but never published.
2. Slayyyter had originally used her surname, Slater, as her stage name. She later changed her moniker to Slayyyter.
3. Before achieving mainstream success in 2019, she had worked as a waitress at a sushi restaurant and a part-time receptionist at a hair salon in her hometown of St. Louis. It was, primarily, to pay off the student loans that she had accrued from her 1-year stint at the University of Missouri.
4. In June 2019, she embarked on her debut tour which was sold out within hours. The tour was known as The Mini Tour and had concluded in her hometown of St. Louis on July 27.
5. Slayyyter opened up about her bis*xuality in a March 2019 interview with the Gay Times magazine. She revealed that she had liked girls as a kid but felt that it was abnormal behavior. It was only when she reached high school that she realized that she liked both boys and girls and there was no need to be ashamed about it.
