Later on, in the year 2009, her family again relocated with a then 9-year old Ugbad to Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa with the help of the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF).
2. Ugbad Abdi grew up in a Muslim household and started to wear a hijab when she was 14 years old.
3. As soon as she graduated high school, she was scouted by an agency through the popular social media platform, Instagram.
4. When she visited New York to meet with the agency representatives, it was her first time visiting the famous city altogether. That’s also when Ugbad Abdi signed a contract with the modeling and talent agency, Next Management.
5. She made her fashion show debut by walking the ramp at the 2018/2019 Valentino haute couture show.
