Uji was a part of EXID‘s debut single album, Holla, which was released in February 2012.

With BESTie, she released 2 EPs – Hot Baby (July 2014), which peaked at number 7, and Love Emotion (May 2015), which was ranked at number 8 on the Korean music charts. She has also provided vocals to songs like Love Options, Pitapat, Thank U Very Much, Like A Star, I Need You, Excuse Me, Love Letter, and So Good.

1. Uji was formerly a trainee with the JYP Entertainment where she was supposed to debut with a girl group that would have also included singers like Hyorin, a member of Korean girl group SISTAR, from EXID, and Ji Eun from Secret. However, things didn’t go as planned.
2. She was scouted by producer Shinsadong Tiger and AB Entertainment and was the first trainee to be accepted for the Korean girl group, EXID.
3. Uji was the one to contact Hani, Haeryeong, and Junghwa to audition for AB Entertainment.
4. In April 2012, Uji departed from EXID and the reason stated by the agency for her departure was that she wanted to focus on her studies.
5. She joined another group, BESTie, and officially debuted with the band in July 2013.
6. In September 2017, she terminated her contract with YNB Entertainment.
