1. Lyssy’s father had abandoned the family soon after her birth. She was raised by her mother thereafter who had re-married when Lyssy was 5 years old. Her birth name, Alyssa, was given to her after the ‘Melissa’ flower, by her mother, who loved that flower.
2. After the birth of her younger step-sister, she realized that her parents were forced to spend most of their energies on the newest member of the household. It was then that she began to look for new hobbies and developed an interest in drawing. She fell in love with pet animals, especially dogs, and also learned to play tennis in her spare time.
3. During her school days, she was often bullied for having buck teeth. She found refuge from the negativity in sports and started dedicating her attention to playing softball, tennis, and basketball. Playing team sports had given her self-confidence, helped her win new friends, and by the time she had reached the 5th grade, she had become one of the most popular girls in her school, having won several medals and trophies.
4. When she was in the 7th grade, her parents had promised her that if she made it to the school tennis team, they would gift her a puppy of her choice. Upon accomplishing the goal, she selected a Bochi (Boston Terrier and Chihuahua hybrid) dog for herself and named it Trixie.
5. She had initially created her primary YouTube channel with the username TwilightClover98. Although the channel was created in September 2010, her first video there was uploaded only in July 2014.
